- CMPS 101 (Algorithms and abstract data types) or CMPS 102 (Introduction to analysis of algorithms) or equivalent; if none of these has been takes as an undergraduate, then CMPS 201.
- Basic knowledge of probability theory.
- Some level of mathematical sophistication - in class, we will not only present facts about games, but we will prove many of the main theorems, and you will be expected to understand the proofs.
